Introduction

In chat, you can do more than just send text. You can format your text, mention someone, add an emoji or GIF and send files. In this article, you can read which options are available and how to use them.

There is a toolbar below the text box. You can find formatting options on the left and additional options on the right:

• Formatting: bold, italic, strikethrough, a bulleted list, a numbered list and a link.
• @: mention a colleague. They will receive a notification.
• Smiley: add an emoji.
• GIF: search for and send a GIF.
• Plus sign: add an attachment, such as a photo, video or document.

1. Open the chat.
2. Click the plus sign in the bottom right (Add attachment). A window from your computer will open.
3. Select one or more files and click Open. The files are now ready above the text box.
4. If required, type a message with them.
5. Click the arrow to send.

To the right of the chat, you can find everything that has been shared in the conversation. Photos and videos are under Media in chat, and other files are under Files in chat.

1. Type @ in the text box, or click the @ symbol in the toolbar.
2. Type the first letters of the name.
3. Click the correct colleague in the list.

In a group chat, you can also see the group's Members and the Messages posted in the group on the right. You create a message or event via the group itself, not from the chat.

I can no longer create a message or event from the chat

• That's correct: these options are no longer available in the chat. Create the message or event in the group. It will then also appear to the right of the group chat under Messages.

My attachment is not among the group's documents

• Attachments from the chat are only available in the chat, under Media in chat or Files in chat. Add the file as a document via the group if you also want it to appear there.
